DEMANDS FOR MACA HAVE DRAMATICALLY INCREASED
China is buying Maca direct from Peruvian farmers well above market price...

Why? To create the illusion that Maca can be manufactured and possibly even grown in China, which is Biologically and Agriculturally impossible. Although China is notorious for imitating and duplicating compounds, Maca needs specific climate and soil to grow.  Thus their recent splurge into the market to buy roots, bulbs, plants, etc. It is simply too difficult to recreate in China.
This demand from China goes hand in hand with the illegal handling of the product, whereby whole Maca (root) is being exported. This is prohibited by law(copy of the decree-law), which classifies this act as a form of smuggling across borders and is an affront to Peruvian customs.

Don't Fret!  Given the current situtation, Nutraceuticals International Group has worked closely with our partners whom have established agreements on crop management with farmers for areas totaling up to approximately 450 tons of Maca, for the remaining of 2014 and 2015. These agreements contemplate the regulation of prices, so we now have to accept the market price imposed by the Chinese companies, in order to ensure our supply.

In this regard, please stay informative and take the necessary precautions to maintain stock by informing us of your requirements and guarantee your supply!

...Always one step ahead!
