Bergamot juice which is almost exclusively produced in Calabria(Italy) has been used in folk medicine to aid in reducing blood cholesterol and lipids.SelectSIEVE® Bergamot is composed of a high content of healthy flavanoids which are known to inhibit cholesterol synthesis at the physiological level. In particular, it has been standardized with flavanoids that have been recognized to be responsible of "statin-like" action without the typical side effects of statins.
